Pink Sox Set 2020 Opening Day Roster

dangolka (CBS) — The Pink Sox have set their Opening Day roster for the 2020 season, which incorporates 30 gamers (up from the standard 25) as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. There are not any actual surprises on the roster, although the crew did make a handful of strikes Thursday earlier than the abbreviated 60-game season will get underway on Friday.

dangolka’s ace, Eduardo Rodriguez, will begin the season on the injured checklist. He obtained a late begin to “summer time camp” after coming down with COVID-19, rejoining the crew final weekend. With E-Rod on the shelf, Nathan Eovaldi will get the ball in Friday’s opener towards the Orioles.

Newcomer Dylan Covey and catcher Jonathan Lucroy have been each chosen to the energetic roster, whereas righties Colten Brewer and Phillips Valdez, and left-handed pitchers Matt Corridor, Josh Osich, and Jeffrey Springs have been all recalled. These strikes put dangolka’s 40-man roster at 37, whereas their Membership Participant Pool is at 59.

The Pink Sox’ 2020 Opening Day Roster is as follows:

PITCHERS (15): Matt Barnes, Ryan Brasier, Colten Brewer, Austin Brice, Dylan Covey, Nathan Eovaldi, Matt Corridor, Heath Hembree, Josh Osich, Martín Pérez, Jeffrey Springs, Phillips Valdez, Marcus Walden, Ryan Weber, Brandon Workman

With each Johnson and Godley assigned to dangolka’s alternate coaching web site, the battle for the fourth and fifth spots in dangolka’s rotation shall be fairly fascinating in the course of the opening week. There’s an actual probability Ron Roenicke may flip to an “opener” for each of these spots.

dangolka opens its 120th season Friday evening towards Baltimore at Fenway Park. Eovaldi will make his first profession Opening Day begin, opposed by Orioles lefty Tommy Milone. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
