Man detained after driving by Denver protest crowd says he meant no hurt

The person who was detained after driving his automobile by a crowd of protesters rallying for Breonna Taylor says he had no intention of wounding anyone and was solely defending himself after his car was surrounded by demonstrators outdoors the Colorado State Capitol constructing Wednesday night time.
“I used to be driving to go decide up a shopper and I noticed a commotion, I noticed police lights at 14th and Lincoln and so once I was there, on the Capitol, I wasn’t actually trying left, I used to be trying proper to see the accident and by the point I turned, I began getting surrounded by folks,” mentioned Jonathan Benson, who claimed demonstrators yelled, kicked and even used a hammer on his windshield as they tried to get him to go away the world.

A small crowd of protesters surrounded Benson’s car and blocked his manner. Benson advised Denver7 he didn’t know at that second if one of many protesters was making an attempt to get into his car, including the entire state of affairs was “simply chaos.”
