Large East Cancels Non-Convention Video games For Fall Sports activities

dangolka (CBS) — The Large East is the most recent NCAA convention to make sweeping modifications to its 2020-21 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic. On Thursday, the convention canceled all non-conference video games on their fall sports activities schedule, with extra modifications more likely to come.

The sports activities affected by Thursday’s announcement are males’s and ladies’s soccer, males’s and ladies’s cross nation, volleyball and subject hockey. The Large East has not but decided what is going to occur with fall sports activities convention competitors and championships

“All selections concerning fall convention competitors will proceed to be guided at the start by the well being and security of BIG EAST campuses and their athletics program members and will likely be made in accordance with NCAA actions and insurance policies,” the convention mentioned Thursday.

No determination has been made on males’s and ladies’s basketball, which is the Large East’s greatest draw.

The Large East is the most recent main convention to make modifications to its fall sports activities schedule due to the pandemic. The Large Ten and Pac-12 dropped all non-conference video games from their soccer schedules, whereas the Ivy League and Patriot League each canceled fall sports activities altogether.
