Deer Creek Canyon Park has reopened after authorities closed it as a result of a reported aggressive mountain lion.
Jefferson County Open House mentioned Deer Creek Canyon Park and Black Bear Path, the latter of which connects Deer Creek to Hildebrand Ranch, each reopened on Tuesday morning. The park and path closed on Saturday morning.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife mentioned that wildlife officers tried to find the mountain lion utilizing experiences from park guests, however they couldn’t observe it down as of Tuesday morning.
