A poll measure asking Colorado voters to approve a statewide household and medical depart insurance coverage program is headed to the poll in November.
Backers of Initiative 283 submitted greater than 205,000 signatures — effectively above the required 124,632 — to qualify for the poll, the Colorado Secretary of State’s Workplace reported Tuesday.
The initiative is the 10th to make it onto the poll. The Colorado Secretary of State’s Workplace continues to be reviewing the petition of 1 different potential measure.

Proponents of the paid household and medical depart program touted the advantages of such a program on a digital information convention Tuesday, saying the measure would offer entry to up 12 weeks of paid depart to greater than 2.6 million Coloradans. Employers and their staff would every pay a price of 0.45% of the worker’s wages, or employers can cowl extra of the price.
