A spokesman for Coffman’s workplace and Aurora police didn’t instantly return requests for remark Sunday, and the extent of the mayor’s involvement within the chase was not clear.
Aguirre-Flores was arrested on suspicion of committing first-degree homicide, whereas Evans was arrested for eluding officers, in accordance with Aurora police.
